At Turning Point, we know that the setting for a training or workshop can be an important part of helping you feel relaxed and refreshed. We choose locations which emphasize beauty, comfort and connection to nature. Our most frequently used locations are in Virginia:

Retreat Location Descriptions
Flower Camp
Higher Ground, a private retreat center near Charlottesville, Virginia, consists of roughly 250 acres of land nestled in the mountains with access to the James River. There are four old Victorian style houses with fireplaces and upstairs/downstairs porches with rockers, swings, hammock, a barn for group dances and games, hiking trails, and a ropes course. The gathering room and fully modern kitchen are filled with windows and a wrap-around porch. Higher Ground invites you into the seclusion and quiet of a weekend at home with no interruptions from the modern world.

Sevenoaks Retreat Center
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge are 130 acres of meadows and forest called Sevenoaks. The beautiful campus and a spiritually aware staff give a warm welcome to visitors. Delicious healthy meals nourish the body. Hiking trails, a sand fire circle, medicine wheel, sweat lodge and sacred grove provide a tremendous opportunity to reconnnect with the earth.

Wareloch
Wareloch is one of the few remaining places where you can enjoy sweeping, uninterrupted views of the Ware River and Mobjack Bay an arm of the Chesapeake Bay. Located on 90 acres of undisturbed family-owned property, Wareloch is on a natural inlet between two coves with beautiful private, secluded beaches.

Sandbridge
Sandbridge Beach is a quiet beach, located just south of the Virginia Beach resort area. Also known as the “Outer Banks of Virginia," Sandbridge has five miles of beautiful golden sands along the Atlantic Ocean and is truly an ideal retreat.
